The children played this group activity on the floor. The focus of the activity was to match letters together to create words. To make the activity more interactive I gave each child a die. The children placed all the puzzle pieces on the floor facing down. Then they threw their die on the floor and began to take that number of puzzle pieces. It took several throws until the children could start to match some of the puzzles.

What did the children learn with this activity? They learnt how to interact and communicate with each other. They learnt how words are made with a combination of letters and how important is to combine letters in an specific order to create meaningful words.
