In this activity the children used the pot bases again. First the children put the numbers in order from 1 to 20. Then they jumped on the top of the numbers and said the numerals in order from 1-20. They returned walking back and this time they said the numerals backwards from 20-1. To make things little bit more challenging I asked the children to walk counting by twos forwards and backwards.
The children continued playing for a while. They tried to count by threes but they found too challenging to jump three spaces. I suggested to play the missing number. I hid a number and they guessed that number. In another game I took one of the numbers and challenged them to tell me the number before and the number after.
