This is a hands-on literacy activity which I prepared to help the children to develop their reading skills while having fun making a sandwich . I wrote the sandwich ingredients in different orders on three large cards. Then, the children chose one card and read the ingredient at the same time that put the it on the sandwich.

The children had fun playing together and independently.
